October 2004, Bruce and I visited several cemeteries in the Platte
county and photographed select tombstones.

Katarzyna DROZD Died 17 December 1914 Maryanna FURMANSKI nee DROZD Died 15 April 1905 According to the 1900 Nebraska census, Maryanna DROZD FURMANSKI was born Mar 1874. She married Martin FURMAN \ FOREMAN on 22 October 1888 in Platte County, Nebraska. The Platte County marriages extracts give her parents' names as "Joseph Drost and Katie Buitas." |

Martin FORMAN Died 6 August 1928 Age 67 years Martin (FORMAN \ FURMAN \ FOREMAN) was a son of Joseph FURMANSKI and Maryanna nee KOSZ \ KUSZ. According to the 1900 Nebraska census, Martin immigrated to the United States in 1880. He married Mary DROZD \ DRODZ on 22 October 1888 in Platte County, Nebraska. They were the parents of: Michael, John (married Cecelia BOGUS), Helena (married Joseph CZARNIK), Leo (married Catherine CIELOHA), Ladislaus (Walter) (married Elizabeth IWAN), Stephen (died at birth) and Philip (married Genevieve IWAN). |

Michal FURMAN Born 18 September 1868 Died 9 March 1912 Michal FURMAN was a son of Joseph FURMAN \ FOREMAN \ FURMANSKI and Maryanna KOSZ \ KUSZ. On 22 November 1887 Michal married Anna CHELOEHA at Burrows (now Tarnov) in Platte County, Nebraska. According to the 1910 Nebraska census for Butler Township, Michal and Anna had no children. |

Anna GALUS nee SLAWINSKI Died 5 December 1901 Age ?? years Anna was the wife of Bartholomew GALUS, daughter of Thomas SLAWINSKI and Agnes CHROSTEK. Anna was born 9 July 1859 in Leki Gorne, Galicia, Austria Poland, house 95. Anna and Bartholomew married on 18 October 1874 in the Leki Gorne Parish. They immigrated to the United States in 1880 with their children Josepha Carolina (Josie) and Stanislaus (also known as Charles, married Mary BALASA). The following children were born in the U.S.: Frank (married Clara LASSEK), Pelagia (Poladia, Pollie), Mary Anne (married James\Jake\Jacob ROY), Joseph (Father Cornelius), Katherina, Francisca, Anna Maria (married Frank WASKOWIAK). |
Bartholomew GALUS was my first cousin three removed. According to his obituary, Bartholomew was buried in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Duncan, Platte County, Nebraska. I was not able to locate Bartholomew's gravestone, so he may have an unmarked grave. There was an open area adjacent to Anna SLAWINSKI GALUS' gravesite. Bartholomew may be buried there.
