      Rosa Braun Tombstone
      So far no pictures of Rosa BRAUN have been found. Here is a photo of the Sisters of Precious Blood Cemetery and one of Rosa's (Sister Rosalia) grave marker. The Sister who maintains the convent archives had these pictures take for me. I am very grateful to Sister Virginia for this act of kindness.
      Braun descendant chart There is a discrepancy with Rosa's date of death. The Sisters of Precious Blood convent show the following information for Rosa:
      Religious name: Rosalia
      Birth: 1856/12/21
      Birthplace: New Coeln, Wi
      Entrance: 1877/1/18
      Received habit: 1879/8/28
      First Vows: 1879/4/12
      Final Vows: No, because she died soon
      Death: 1879/4/21
      Grave: 6th row, 3rd from north wall
      However, the date Rosa received her habit is four months after her date of death. The Sister who maintains the convent archives believes that Rosa received her habit on 12 Apr 1879, took her first vows on 21 Apr 1879, and died four months later on 28 Aug 1879. At any rate it appears that Rosa died in the year 1879.
