Comments:	Marge, My wife and I are retired and have just started researching our roots. She has gone a long way with her English roots. On the other hand... my family is from Eastern Europe. Interestingly you have a link to the map of GALICIA. Well my Grandfather Basil (Basyl) Tomasz came from Sniatyn (on the far east corner of Galicia, now in the Ukraine) and my grandmother came from Lezaisk now in Poland(near Lancut). They met as young adults in Hyde Park (Boston, MA)married and moved to Salem, MA. My grandfather supposedly changed the spelling of the surname because when the kids were enrolled in school, the teachers anglicized the Polish. My father Ferdinand was born in Salem, MA. His brother Michael had a two sons, Gregory and Ferdinand M. Freddy had a son... Ferdinand. It was interesting at family reunions when we all answered to "Hey Fred".... I was really impressed with your webpage and the story of your grandparents. Hope that we can creat something as interesting.

Comments:	Hi my name is Luca and I was born in guardiagrele chieti in 1979, my mum is santoleri annamaria and my dear grandfather was antonio "corradino" santoleri, he was born in San martino sulla marruccina 2 km from Guardiagrele in january 1920, his dad name i guess was Nicola Santoleri but i'm not to sure, because i need to ask my mum. My grandad used to tell me that he had some family in the US and actually there was a man called antonio santoleri that came to visit him in the late 70's (with mustaches, i saw pics. My gran was very modest person and he never really had much of his past, even because his mum died when he was 8 and his dad few years later, he then left for the war when he was 19 and came back in 1945 at 26 after 3 years of war prisoner in greece where the nazi sank his boat and found him 3 days after in the sea. I'm interest to know if you grandfather had brothers who stayed in guardiagrele when he left for the states and if you know something about i'll be grateful all the best luca

The one letter I received this week is from a Joyce Vrchota of Burbank, IL who is looking for information on Stanley Tarczon and Sophie (Zofia) Augustyn who immigrated about 1912 to West Chicago, IL with their three children, Maria, Adela and Jozef. Beginning with the Ellis Island web site I found a record of their arrival. If you look at the list of Tarczon arrivals you will note there is not one listed as coming from Leki Gorne (due to terrible transcription of the manifest). In an effort to find if there was a church in Leki Gorne, I found your web site, which is terrifc!
