Mrs. Jacob C. Brownback

Yesterday Elizabeth Brownback, widow of the late Jacob C. Brownback, passed away at her home near Anselma, after an illness brought about by old age.

The deceased was a daughter of the late Samuel and Catherine Kimes, of Anselma, and had resided in that section for many years. She was well known and respected by the entire neighborhood. She was a member of the St. Matthew's Reformed Church and was a regular attendant up until a short time ago. Her husband died several years ago. Four children are left to survive her, namely: Mrs. Kate Moses, who resides at home with her mother; George R., of Spring City; Samuel F., of West Vincent, and Jesse K., of Elverson. Interment will be made in the family lot at Anselma.


BROWNBACK -- In West Pikeland township, Chester county, Pa., on Wednesday, October 13, 1915, Elizabeth Ann Brownback, widow of the late Jacob C. Brownback, aged 83 years, 9 months and 8 days.

Relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral without further notice from her late residence, near Anselma, on Sunday, October 17. All services at the house at 1 o'clock p.m. Interment in St. Matthew's Reformed Cemetery. Carriages will meet trains at Anselma P. V. R. R. at 10 a.m.


Relationship:
Elizabeth Kimes Brownback is Bruce's first cousin three times removed. Elizabeth's mother, Catherine Brownback Kimes, was a sister of Bruce's GG Grandfather Jesse Brownback (son of John and Margaret DeFrain Brownback). While looking for relationships, I found that Elizabeth and her husband Jacob C. Brownback were second cousins. Here's a chart showing the relationships:
