Possible entry for our Charles Humphreys. Charles gives his
occupation as carpenter. Bruce's great great grandfather gives his
occupation as carpenter in later censuses. This Charles' age is
consistent with later census entries. The relationship of

I have not found Charles and/or Margaret in the 1860 census yet. According to information in the 1900 and 1910 censuses, Charles and Margaret we married about 1860 or 1862. The 1870 census shows their first child was 13 years old (born about 1857). Charles and Margaret either married earlier or perhaps Charles was previously married?
This is the only piece of documentation we have that named the siblings of Bruce's great grandmother Mattie. No one in the family knew of them.

This is probably Edward, enumerated with his brother Daniel in he 1900 census.
I have no information to confirm that this is a son of Charles and Margaret HUMPHREYS. I think the Edward Humphreys should be noted as a brother instead of a brother in law. In the 1870 census, enumerated with Charles and Margaret Humphries, were Edward age 8 and Daniel age 6. Edward was not listed with the family in the 1880 census, Daniel was age 16.
