| George Allen was an original proprietor of Sandwich, MA. There has been much confusion about this family, i.e., over the names of George's two wives, data that properly belongs to his son George, and confusing his children with those of a Ralph Allen who lived in Sandwich at the same time and whose connection to George has yet to be proved, though they are probably related. |
