Betty Wingo Bird, 71, of Satellite Beach, formerly of Charleston, W. Va., died Monday, July 19, 1999, at home after a long illness.

Surviving: husband, Lowell Bird; daughters, Becky Meadows of Texas, Susan Eagle, Mary Kofil of Florida, Patricia Tucker of Georgia, Barbara Engle of Idaho; mother, Lillie Wingo of Dunbar, W. Va.; sisters, Shirley Sergent of Dunbar, Rose Peterson of Nitro, W. Va.; brother, Albert Wingo of Mississippi.

Memorial service will be Thursday at Satellite Beach United Methodist Church. The family suggests memorial contributions to Resurrection Ranch Ministries, 5925 Old Dixie Highway, Melbourne, FL 32940.
