J. C. WINGO, 71, Gainesville, Rt 5, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 1985, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness Mr. Wingo, a native of Forsyth County who had lived in Hall County most of his life, was a retired carpenter and member of the Rock Hill Congregational Holiness Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Effie Kanady Wingo; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Oliver; three sons, Ford Wingo, Wayne Wingo and James Wingo, all of Gainesville; one brother, Otis Wingo, Gainesville; one sister, Mrs. Edith Anderson, Gainesville; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Rock Hill Congregational Holiness Church. The Rev. Ben Tapp, the Rev. Jerry Shockley and The Rev. William Norris will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body is at Little-Davenport Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight. Little-Davenport Funeral Home of Gainesville is in charge of arrangements.
