There are many researchers on this line.
Moses came to America with his father c. 1754-1766. As best I can tell. He married Elizabeth Johnson, who was either from Antrim, as was Moses, or from New Jersey. Her family was said to be cousins of some sort (from what I can gather) to Richard M Johnson, V. P. of the United States. There is no evidence of this yet. But there is evidence that they settled in Virginia, and created a mill along the Slate River, in Buckinghamshire, VA. They had several children there, and then relocated to what is now Lincoln County, KY. In 1787 Moses built a log home, which was what his family lived in until his death. Some moved nearer Springfield, KY. For a complete list of the known children of this couple click here:

After his death, Elizabeth lived with their youngest son John, and his family and they all removed a bit Westerly, probably to watch the grandchildren grow! If you Sweeneys want your line on this page, please let me know and I will add it, and a way to contact you. In this section under the chidren you will find Job, whose 4 sons followed in his footsteps in the ministry.
