The following answers to the questionaire are in his words
I am a resident of Hemlock, Sullivan Co., Tennessee
I served in Co. K 26th Tennessee Voluntary Infantry.
I was struck alongside of head with ball at Atlanta, Georgia
I was born in Johnson Co., Tennessee March 2, 1840.
Enlisted in June 1861 in Brown Brigade under Capt. J.R. Morrell
Lt. William Carrier
Taken prisoner and sent to Nashville, TN
Was married but wife has Died.
Children: 3 boys who are all married.
Lived in Tennessee all his life except being away temporarily at times.



There are numerous Affadavits and letters in the file but none mention any
family members except that he had a brother named William who served
in the same Company with him.

Note: I would very much like to hear from anyone who is descended from Nicholas.
Or anyone that has information about his wife or children.
