James C. Gartman was a corporal with Capt. John W. Clark. Co. A, 1st Regt. Alabama Volunteers. He enlisted at Eufaula on January 17, 1861 for one year.

Henry Girtman served in Company G 4th Georgia Cavalry.His widow Sallie filed for a pension in Pierce Co.,Georgia.

Daniel J. Gartman served as a private in Company K, 16th Illinois Cavalry. He was a resident of Fayette Co., Alabama when he enlisted.


Hugh C. Girtman. Hugh was in the U.S.Army.He served as a Sgt. in Co.B,106th Regiment Illinois Infantry Volunteers.He enlisted August 9,1862 at Mt.Pulaski,Illinois and was discharged July 12,1865 at Pine Bluff,Arkansas.


Isaac Gartman served as a private in the Union Army Henshaws' Company Light Artillery Regiment of Illinois.He enlisted November 8,1862 while residing in Memphis,Tennessee.


James C. Gartman enlisted November 1864 at Rock Island prison in Illinois. He was discharged November 29, 1865

Peter Gartman served as a private in the Union Army Company I 92nd Infantry Regiment of Illinois and Company G 65th Infantry Regiment of Illinois.He enlisted March 3,1865.

Kentucky
Alfred Girtman He was a private in Co.K 7th Ky Infantry-Union Army .Co.K was formed August 26,1861 in London,Laurel Co.,Ky.He enlisted 29th Nov,1861.He was also in Co.B 7th Ky Infantry.He was discharged March 11,1866 in Baton Rouge.
He was wounded at Vicksburg,Ms. May 22,1863

Mississippi

David A. Gartman served as a private in Company K in the 38th Regiment (Cavalry) of Mississippi Volunteers.
  Enlisted on April 26th, 1862 at Holmesville, Mississippi.

Alfred Gartman served as a private in the Union Army Gibsons' Company Independent Infantry Regiment of Pennsylvania.He enlisted September 12,1862.


Joseph R Gartman served as a private in the Union Army Company D Stewarts' Infantry Regiment of Pennsylvania.He enlisted July 16,1864.


William Gartman served as a private in the Union Army Company I 69th Infantry Regiment of Pennsylvania.He enlisted August 19,1861.

South Carolina
Hammond S. Gartman He was in the Confederate Army and was killed at Jones Farm.

Nicholas Girtman. Nicholas was in the Confederate service: Private, Co. K, 26th Tenn. Infantry, 3rd East Tennessee Volunteers.He enlisted July 8,1861 and served until October 13,1864 under Capt.John Morrell.


William Girtman served in the CSA 26th Infantry,Co.K of Tennessee.Enlisted March 10,1861.Left the Confederate Army August 31,1864.He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on September 24,1864 and served on the 'Great Western' ship until November 3,1864.Then served on the 'Pittsburg' ship until August 24,1865 when he was discharged at Mound City,Illinois
