Troutman, Thomas J., Private
Born in Stanly County where he resided as a farmer prior to enlisting in Stanly County at age 
18, March 25, 1862.  Died in hospital at Wilson on March 1, 1863, of "pneumonia."

Troutman, Joseph, Private
Enlisted in Northampton County at age 32, August 8, 1862, for the war.  Died in hospital at 
Lynchburg, Virginia, February 14, 1863, of "chron[ic] diarrhoea."
[Although Joseph's record does not give a county of residence, some of the other soldiers in 
his company were from Stanly County.]
