I, Hotso VanSinderen of the town of New Lotts, in the County of Kings, being weak in body but of sound and disposing mind and memory do make this my last will and testament, as follows, viz; First, I direct my executors hereinafter named to pay out of my personal estate my funeral expenses and just debts. Second, I bequeath to my beloved wife Jane Ann, the sum of two thousand dollars of my personal estate, over and above her dower in my real estate. Third, I bequeath to my two sons Ulpian and Adrian, the stock, horses, carriages, farming utensils, and crops now upon my farm, at New Lotts; with the proceeds of said farm during the residue of this year; the whole to be equally divided between them. Fourth, I also bequeath to my wife all my household furniture and effects in my house where I now reside. Fifth, I give devise and bequeath all the residue of my estate real and personal to my children Ulpian, Adrian, Cataline, Phebe and Maria, in equal shares; and to their heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever; except that my will is that to the share which be coming to my daughter Catalina, that my Executors hold the same in trust for her during her natural life, paying to her upon her seperate receipt free and clear from the debts and control of any husband, the income, interest and profits thereof; and I hereby devise and bequeath to my executors such share accordingly in trust for the purposes aforesaid; and upon her decease my will is that such share shall go to her children now living or hereafter to be born, share and share alike forever; also I hereby devise and bequeath the same to such children accordingly. My will is that such income, interest and profits shall be paid by my Executors to my said daughter, as often as the same shall be received and as she may require the same for her support and comfort; and I hereby authorize and empower my said Executors to make all dispositions respecting, the share of my said daughter so held by them in trust; and to invest the same from time to time as may be necessary and proper on good safe security; and the part thereof in personal estate, or which may become personal estate, upon bond and mortgage on sufficient real estate, if the same shall be practical. Sixth, my will is that my farm and real estate shall not be sold in the lifetime of my wife, without her consent in writing to be shown by the execution of the conveyance or conveyances thereof by her; and I hereby authorize and empower my Executors at the expiration of one year after the decease of my said wife to sell and dispose of all my said real estate and divide and hold the proceeds, according to this my will, if they should deem such sale and disposition desirable; or they may divide the same according to the several rights of the parties in interest therein as herein set forth if they shall deem such division without sale to be most for the interests of said parties; or such division or sale may be made as provided by law.
