Notes for Amos ROSS
Inherited in his uncle's, Amos Heavilon, will and was noted as living in
Danville, Vermilion County, Illinois in 1893. Was living in Oakwood
Township, Vermilion County with his mother and brothers, John P. and Henry
Ross in the 1870 census. Living in Danville age 26 with his mother, Polly
Toops, in the 1880 census. He was a printer.
In the Soundex of 1900 he is in Moultree County, Livington Township, no
street address: born Illinois December, 1853, age 46 (Vol 29, ED 100, sheet
10, line 19) Wife Ella H., born August, 1863 in Illinois. Son Claud born
June 1885,age 15; daughter,Ethel H., born August 1889, age 10;
daughter,Lyddie, born December 1894; son,Roy, born march 1898 age 2. In
household are Polly Toops, mother, born August 1812 in Ohio, age 87 and
mother in law, Susan Swift, born February, 1838 in Ohio, age 62.
