Notes for Mary (Polly) HEAVILON
From daughter Emeline's cemeter stone nd FGS of William Prather's cousin who
failed to record thesource. Source found to be sheets submitted by Nellie
Huffman Henry, December 13, 1967 in Vermilion County, Illinois.
Joan Bohm, genealogist of Frankfort Clinton County, Indiana has a long
Heavilon Line to which Polly belonged and has furnished copies to me. Her
second marriage was to Jacob Toops. She and Henry lived in Edgar Coounty,
Illinois.
The History of Clint on Count published in 1886 states that she was living
with her brother, Amos, at that time in Clinton County so she probably died
there.
The 1880 census is listed as Polly Toops, living in Danville, Vermilion
Counth, Illinois with her son, Amos Ross, age 26. Since Jacob died in Clinton
County in 1888, it appears they were not living together in 1880.
