Family Stories

This page and its links are dedicated not to the facts and documents we use to "prove" our ancestory, but to the people and their personalities, the family folklore and legends which shed some light on whom these facts and documents represent, and even the pictures that help us to imagine just who these people were and the lives they may have touched.

Leonidas Harper Pridgen taking his first plane ride Aug. 4, 1929 at the Age of 86 yrs and 5 months.

An interesting tidbit about Leonidas Harper Pridgen - He always carried a burlap sack around with him. Whenever he was questioned about the sacks purpose he quickly responded, "That is my might bag. Someone might give me something and I might need a sack to put it in."
