Mrs. Lena Dowling Pridgen Dies Here.

Mrs. Lena Dowling Pridgen, well-known Dothan resident and wife of the late
M. F. Pridgen, widely-known livestock dealer who died in 1933, died last night at
a hospital here following a long illness.

Mrs. Pridgen was born in Ozark and moved to Dothan from Headland in 1917. She was
a member of the Foster Street Methodist Church.

Surviving are a son, N Frank Pridgen, and a daughter, Miss Elza Pridgen, both of Dothan;
a sister, Mrs. Oscar Akins, Columbia, Miss., and a grandson, N. Frank Pridgen, Jr., Dothan.

Funeral services were to be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock at the residence 407 South
St. Andrews Street, with the Rev. Norman McLeod, pastor of the Foster Street Methodist Church,
officiating. Burial will be in the Claybank Cemetery with Ward-Wilson in charge.

Active Pallbearers will be: Max Jones, Glen Akins, Fred Moseley, Albert West, R. M. Holman
and Francis Pettus.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Board of Stewards of the Foster Street Methodist Church and
the Board of Stewards of the Ozark Methodist Church.
