Caswell Horn, son of Absalom and Polly Horn, was born on December 1,
1803, and died on October10, 1847. On September 23, 1829, he married
Mary ann Taylor, daughter of John and
Sarah Taylor of Edgecombe County. she was born on November 15, 1811 and
died december 26, 1897.
1. Martha Ann Caroline Horn was born on July 25, 1832, and died in September, 1867. On April 11, 1851, she married Jesse Battle Hyatt. 2. Harriet Jane Horn was born on march 25, 1834. 3. Jane Della Horn was born on February 12, 1836, and died on July 12, 1922.On July 3, 1855, she married David Neal. 4. James Richard Horn was born on November 29, 1838, and died on November 7, 1890. 5. William Thomas Horn was born on October 6, 1839. 6. William Ann Louisa Horn was born on April 10, 1842, and died on March 5, 1924. On June 6, 1858, she married Henry A. Shirley. He was born on February 10, 1834. 7. Joseph Caswell Horn was born on April 15, 1844, and died on July 6, 1866.

From the flies of Hugh B. Johnston, Jr., Wilson , N.C. Hardy Horn, was son of Joel Horn, was born o December 24, 1782, and died in Wayne County in 1839. He married Edith________, was born on September 10, 1796. (They lived princially in Nash and Wayne Counties. )
1. Nancy Horn was born on June 2, 1813. She married Jonathan Barnes. 2. Hardy Horn, Jr., was born on August 24, 1818, and died in infancy. 3. Amos Horn was born on March 24, 1821, and never married. 4. Sally Horn was born on October 1, 1823. She married a Newsome. 5. Zilla Horn was born on December 5, 1826. She married Robert M. Cox. 6. Rebecca Horn was born April on April 22, 1829. 7. Edith Horn was born May 4, 1831, and died young. 8. Mary Ann Horn was born on April 13, 1833, and died in 1845. 9. Elizabeth " Bet " Horn was born on July 19, 1836. She married Robert M. Cox. Note: *[ ? Yes I know that it said Robert M. Cox was married to two of the Horn girls. ] The following births were also recorded in the Hardy Horne family Bible, but their relationship was not specified: 1. Elizabeth R. Horne was born December 25, 1830. 2. Martha A. Horne was born on December 22, 1834. She married Lewis Martin. 3. William C. Horn was born on May 22, 1838.
From the flies of Hugh B. Johnston, Jr., Wilson, N.C. Henry Horn, son of Willam Horn, was born on November 21, 1716, in Nansemond County, Virginia, and died in Wayne County in 1798. In 1737 he married Ann ______, who was born on April 1, 1723. ( this family lived in both Edgecombe and Wayne Counties.)
