REF Mayflower2. John Billington murdered John Newcomen. He shot
him with a gun about a former quarrel. He was tried and
executed. John Billington and his family
were trouble from the start. While on the Mayflower, one of
his sons fired a gun near a powder keg. His son John got lost
and was rescued by Indians. John Billington also was involved
with John Lyford who was expelled from the colony.
