       Captain Miles Standish came to Plymouth in the Mayflower in the year
       1620 and settled in Duxbury about the year 1630 on the easterly side
       of Captains Hill which he owned. His frist wife died in the winter of
       1630. His will is dated at Duxbury March 7, 1655. In his will he names
       his children as follows: Alexander, Miles, Charles, Josiah. Lora had
       died. He mentions his wife Barbara and gives his oldest son Alexander
       all the right and title to his lands in England and says that these
       lands were surreptitiously detained from him. Somewhere in the Isle
       of Man and the Isle of Wight.
