ADMINISTRATOR'S BOND
One-hundred and eleven years after the Administator's Bond for Thomas McDaniel was signed, I learn that the William Griffin who was a witness of this bond and made his mark was the gg-grandfather of Kay Griffin Snow who host the Polk Co., Mo Website. As Kay said when she told me "what a small world".

We, John Phipps_____________________________________                           as
principel, and ___________________________and__________________________
_____________assoccurities, are held and bound to the state of Missouri, in the sum of 
Sixteen Hundred------------------------------------------------------------Dollars,
for the payment of which we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators.
       THE CONDITION of the above bond is,  that if John Phipps_____________,
administrator of the estate of _________Thomas McDaniel,_________, deceased,
shall faithfully administer said estate, account for, pay and deliver all money and property of
said estate, and perform all other things touching said administration, requied by law, or the
order or decree of any court having jurisdiction, then the above bound to be void, otherwise
to remain in full force.
     IN WITNESS WHEREOF, We have hereunto subscribed our names and affised our
seals, this _____16___day of April___________1888.

without leaving any will, at  ____________his residence in Polk Co. Mo. March 25
A.D. 1888
,  leaving  as his heirs _________Mary Anderson;___ Thomas_____
___McDaniel;      Louisa Potts         and     the  heirs   of    David                           
___McDaniel;    Elizabeth Phipps        and                   Wm. (?) McDaniel               
    and  Marth A. Harper    and     leaving Nancy Mc Daniel his widow.                    


And that __he__ will make a perfect inventory of, and faithfully administer all the Estate
of the said       Thos. McDaniel_           ___, and pay the debts as far as the assets will
extend and the law direct,  and account for and pay all assets which sahll come to  _his  
possession or knowledge.
