Daniel Forster Obit

IN MEMORY OF D. M. FOSTER

The many friends and acquaintances of D. M. Foster, who were so shocked by his sudden departure from his bereaved family, relatives and friends, by whom he was so widely and favorably known, can hardly realize that he has gone to his last peaceful resting place.

Daniel M. Foster was born in Charleston, McMinn county, Tenn., November 16, 1851. He was married in 1873 to Miss Nancy Ann Dixon. During early life Mr. Foster was engaged in farming, making his home at Waco, Tex., until 1886, when he came north and located at Chehalis, Wash., where he engaged extensively in railroad and public contracting enterprises.

In 1896 he moved to Spokane and engaged in farming. The last few years he has been interested in the liquor and hotel business.

Wherever Mr. Foster has lived he has gained the friendship and esteem of all, both in social and business walks of life by his honest and upright character. A kinder father and more devoted husband was never known. He died of smallpox June 2, 1904, and leaves a wife and eight children.

W. A. Foster, Mrs. E. S. De Mange, S. J. Foster and Mrs. P. M. Hardisty are of age. The minor children are Robert, Lillian, Grover and Sulvenius, all of whom live in Spokane, except Mrs. Hardisty, who lives in Freeman. Mrs. Foster and family have the heartfelt sympathy and condolences of all their many acquaintances and friends.
