In Acknowledgement and Appreciation . . .

Ovie Pedigo Sypher dedicated many years of her life during the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and into the 1990s, researching, writing, and recording genealogy and family history. It was she who sparked my own interest in genealogy, and it is largely because of her dedicated efforts that so much of my own Pedigo lineage and family history was preserved. She conducted oral interviews and correspondence with family members and relatives who had passed on by the time my interest in genealogy was awakened in the late 1980s. Ovie Pedigo Sypher had such great generosity in sharing the fruits of her labor and a strong desire to ensure the family heritage would be passed on to others. Much of her work is reflected in the pages of the Pedigo lineage presented here, and it is with gratitude that I dedicate these Pedigo pages to her.
