Photos & Notes from the Files of William Bruce Pedigo

This is how the cemetery looked in 1980.  Pedigo descendant Clayton Barrett personally took William Bruce Pedigo to this location.  Mr. Barrett had spent his whole life living within 5 miles of this cemetery.  He stated that he had played in this cemetery as a young boy with other Pedigo descendants while his mother was visiting the Pedigos who still owned the property and house at the bottom of the hill where the cemetery is located.

As all things change, this land left ownership of the Pedigo family.   The new owner wanted to clean up the area for a pasture and the tombstones were pushed into a gulley with a bulldozer.  This cemetery was reported to have had between 40-50 graves at one time.  However, with the cemetery destroyed, we can only speculate and may never know for sure who is actually buried in this Pedigo family cemetery.

Pedigo descendants believed to be buried in the Pedigo family cemetery are:
