We are going to have a
REUNION!
It is going to be
in the Greater Orlando area at Walt Disney
Worlds' Doorstep. The dates are
31 October to 3 November 2003!
We have secured an unbelievable room rate
(69.00) at one of the areas nicest Hotels and the management has
allowed us the same rate for three days before and three days after
the event. Working with the Group sales rep at
shades of Green we have been able to secure this
rate..... also.....
grab the grandchildren as we are able to
get some of the lowest Theme Park and Attraction tickets available. Many
of your rooms will have two queen size or double
size beds..... bring
your golf clubs as well....
because you are cordially invited to play
on some of Disney's nicest courses at a special
reduced rate... compliments of Shades of
Green!! more on that later.... your
rooms come with two line telephones, with
message light and voice mail, coffee maker with complimentary
coffee... AM/FM Clock Radio, data port,
refrigerator, hair dryer...( A must for the long
haired guys...) iron and ironing board and in-room floor
safe.... and....
complimentary transportation to Walt Disney World theme

nicest time of the year at unbeatable prices at
the Worlds' Premier Fun Place!!! Your
Florida OCS Flight is working hard to come up with an activities agenda
that is going to knock your bloom.....
uh..... socks off!!! Now! What we need
from you is easy.....
email me NLT 5 July saying that you will be attending..
this is sorta a confirmation....
the more the merrier and the more "Goodies" we
can expect from our Hosts! Please be sure not to forget any guests
or the grandchildren if they are coming! There
were some concerns about this being Halloween
Weekend... wish we could have worked
something out for an alternative date but these
folks are working with us for the dates initially
selected.... we hope you understand and
are able to call on friends or family to watch
the Olde Homestead..... EZ will you be so kind
as to convey this email to the Snail Mail Group?
And keep track of the postage... we will be
reimbursing for these minor incidentals.....

OFFICER CANDIDATE SCHOOL
CLASS 58B REUNION
The Florida 58B Group has selected the
Adams Mark Hotel in
Orlando as the Site for the Class Reunion.
We looked at over seven different
Hotels, usually accompanied by a Shades of Green Representative and after
much deliberation about costs, facilities, contracts, proximity to the
airport, shopping, attractions, restaurants, etc, decided that the Adams
Mark was the best Hotel. First, it is located in the Florida Mall......
a world famous mall filled with restaurants, shops and arcades
under the same roof as the Hotel. Secondly the Hotel is clean and well
maintained... this was a noticeable problem at many of the hotels we
visited... Frank Chavers and I checked very
carefully for evidence of mold or mildew....and dropped consideration of
three hotels on that basis alone.... (The Shades of Green Rep. also clued
us in on some problems the hotels were having...
BTW, it is because of the SOG Rep that we could get the
discounted prices
we did....)
We must sign a contract..... just like the San Antonio Group did..
By signing the contract we agree to have the reunion at the
hotel.... if we cancel the reunion then we will
be liable for the room and banquet fees which could be considerable. ...
therefore
We need to be able
to rely on all who say they are attending.
The hotel will also provide a Presidential Suite of three rooms as our
³Hospitality Area free of charge provided 90% of the folks who say they
are coming and book three nights actually stay the three nights...
Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights... (31
October, 1 & 2 November) if we do
not live up to our planned attendance all three nights then we must pay
the regular room rate for the three rooms... I
don¹t think this will be a problem but I just wanted to let everyone know
that this seems to be a pretty standard setup with all the hotels...
Our
room rates at this hotel are $70.00 per night......
I am pretty sure you are going to be very pleased with our selection.
There are a few items that still need to be discussed with the Hotel..
we should resolve these items in about a week....
BUT
FOR NOW I NEED A GOOD WORKING TOTAL ON THE NUMBER OF ROOMS TO BOOK.
I know there will be some who for various legitimate reasons will have to
cancel out after booking reservations... so I
will be a little conservative when I go to the hotel to book rooms.... So
please email me as soon as possible and let me know of your room
needs...so that I can use that figure to calculate how many rooms should
be set aside for us. Remember the contract has not been signed so please
do not attempt to make reservations yet.... just
confirm to me that you will be there the three nights and how many rooms
you are going to need...
I have some discussions coming up with the hotel chef about our menu
items...... I will get back with you later on how this turns out....
Okay Classmates that is it for now.....
please get
those room totals to me ASAP....

February 4, 2003 Dear Ones....
Tempis is fugiting and as you know I need to do several things
before I go to Otlando with some of the Florida
Group.... First I need a pretty accurate
count of who is coming for at least the three nights of the main
event and second I need to use that number to
establish Banquet menus, pricing, etc.....
naturally the more coming the better a price break on Dinner
Entrées which in this area run pretty high....
ever heard of a forty dollar chicken
breast???? There is also the free, Gratis, Complimentary three room suite
for our Hospitality area.. That will be predicated on how many
attend for the entire three nights....
so, have you not done
so already you really need to email, snail mail
or call me tootie sweety because us Florida boys are
going to Orlando to Dicker in about two weeks...
Anxiously Yours,
Eduardo |
