Rusty was driving a car with Nellie, his sister, as a passenger when there was an accident. Nellie was thrown from the car, and it landed on her, almost cutting her right hand off. It was sewn back on but she had a huge scar and a stiff wrist for the rest of her life. He served in the military in 1943 or 1944 in [? Camp Claiborne, Louisiana]. Served briefly in the U. S. Army in 1943 or early 1944. He was stationed at Camp Claiborne, Louisiana. Was given a medical discharge for a pre-existing condition involving an improperly healed broken arm. He was 35 at the time and not likely considered critical for duty. He did not see action in W. W. II. He died in April 1983 at the age of 74 in Scottsbluff, Scotts Bluff, Nebraska.3543 Wilbur was a Barber. He was also known as Rusty. Wilbur Clair HEDGLIN and Echo Marine ASPDEN were married on 17 March 1944. Echo Marine ASPDEN3544 was born on 18 August 1922.3545 She died in February 1972 at the age of 49.3546 She was ill with Lobar Pneumonia/stroke in 1972. Echo was ill with 1920s Rehumatic Fever.
