PROSPECT and FRANKFORT - Parker R. Philbrick passed away Jan. 14, 2010, at Penobscot Nursing Home. Parker is joining his wife, Edith, who passed away in November 2002. Parker was born March 10, 1918, in Thorndike. Parker and Edith lived in Prospect for 40 years, where he farmed and raised poultry. He married Edith, in 1942. He is survived by three children, Trueman and his wife, Connie, of Libby, Mont., Carolyn Brown of Verona Island, and Lewis Philbrick of Frankfort. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Rick and wife, Jamie, of Alaska and Tracy and husband, Rudy Johnson, California; three great-grandchildren, Yancey and Kegan Philbrick, and Kyle Johnson; and one great-great-granddaughter, Jordin Philbrick. Memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Jan. 20 at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, with P. Norman Latone officiating. Burial will be in the spring at East Thorndike Cemetery.

EDITH MAE BRAGDON PHILBRICK

Frankfort, Maine - Edith Mae Philbrick, 78 passed away Nov 11, 2002 at a Belfast nursing facility. She was born in Searsport, Maine December 11, 1923, daughter of William and Zelpha Bragdon. An avid quilter, Edith enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers. She loved flowers, especially yellow roses.
Edith is survived by her husband of 60 years, Parker Philbrick of Frankfort; three children, Trueman Philbrick and his wife, Connie of Prospect; Carolyn Brown of Verona Island and Lewis Philbrick and his wife Lori of Frankfort. She is also survived by one sister, Ruth McCleary and husband Austin of Port Charlotte, Fla; one half sister Ethelene and a half brother, Charles Bragdon; two grand children, Rick Philbrick and his wife Jamie of Elko, Nevada, Tracy Johnson and her husband Rudy, San Diego, California and two step grandchildren Larry and Tommy Cook of Frankfort and several neices and nephews. She is also survived by two great grandchildren Yancey Philbrick and Kegan Richard Philbrick.
She was predeceased by a sister Margaret, a brother Lowell, and her step father Frank Norris.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2002 at the Rackliffe Funeral Home, 54 Church St., Belfast with the Rev. Norman Labonte officiating. Burial will follow at the family lot in east Thorndike Cemetery.

She was buried on 15 November 2002 at East Thorndike Cemetery in Thorndike, Waldo, Maine.835
