Mary Moley SANBORN and Peter SLEEPER were married. Peter SLEEPER, son of David SLEEPER and Margaret SCRIBNER, was born on 27 May 1746 in Sandown, Rockingham, New Hampshire. He went to Bristol, NH as a pioneer in 1769 and built a log house; later built the first frame house; later proprietor of a tavern. Was the first constable and tax collector and was a selectman in 1764. Entered Continental Army as sergeant and town meetings were held in his house. He died on 11 September 1826 at the age of 80 in Bristol, Grafton, New Hampshire.78 |
