Born Jan. 15, 1939 in Yakima; passed away Feb. 27, 2007 in Seattle. Survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Victor J. Beede; son, William Beede; daughters, Mardella Porter and Sandra Bates; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and many relatives and friends. Rose lived life to the fullest. She loved to travel and go on cruises-she went to Disney World and to Hawaii four times. She also loved to go to the ocean, collecting rocks and watching the sunset. Whenever possible, she attended the kite festival at Long Beach, WA. In her earlier years, Rose enjoyed bowling and was secretary in two bowling leagues with a 170 average and a high game of 233. She took painting classes and learned to paint in many different styles. Some of her paintings were sold at auction at "CB" radio club meetings and others were given as gifts to family and friends. Rose liked going to the movies-Disney movies were her favorite. She was a longtime member of the Rebecca's, receiving her 50-year pin in October 2006, and Renton First Baptist Church. Rose will be remembered for her wonderful humor. She always made people laugh by subtle remarks and off the wall comments. When asked if she was ready to go she would respond "No I'm ready's sister." One Halloween, she dressed up as a pumpkin for a Boy Scouts party and had everyone laughing because she couldn't fit behind the wheel of the car. Rose spent countless hours working as a volunteer for Hilltop Elementary School's library, the Cub Scouts and the March of Dimes neighborhood drive. Though she never felt that she was, she was an inspiration to so many people. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed. Viewing begins Fri., 10am.
