YAKIMA - Edgar Bruce Beede, 76, of Yakima, died Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at Yakima Regional Medical Center.
Edgar was born in Drewsey, Oregon on May 27, 1927 to Fred Bryan Beede and Rosemond (Bruce) Beede. He married Ruth Marie Taylor on November 3, 1948 in Yakima. Mr. Beede was an automotive machinist and worked for Wickstrom Motors for thirteen years. He also worked for Colyear Automotive and retired from Central Engine Machine in 1989 after eleven years of service.
Mr. Beede was a member of the American Legion, the Eagles Lodge as well as the National Rifle Association. He was also a former member of the Yakima Valley CB Club and his hobbies included fishing and bowling. Edgar also raced his 57' Ford a couple of years at the Yakima Speedway and later becme a NASCAR official at the Yakima Speedway.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Beede of Yakima; two daughters, Chris Watten and Pamela Lee both of Union Gap, WA; a son, Bruce Beede of Yakima; five grandchildren, Jason Watten, Toney Lee, Patrick Lee, Jesse Beede and Brent Beede; two great grandsons, Bryce and Ethan Beede, two brothers, Albert Beede of Yakima and Victor Beede of Seattle; a sister, Leslie Quist of Yakima.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2004, at West Hills Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend should meet at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home by 1:15 p.m. and we will travel to the cemetery in procession. Visitation and viewing will be held from 9-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and before the service Monday until 1:30 p.m.

Ruth Marie TAYLOR, daughter of Arthur Freeman TAYLOR and Martha ROBINSON, was born on 7 December 1928 in Akron, Summit, Ohio.³⁶²⁷ She died on 5 February 2006 at the age of 77 in Yakima, Yakima, Washington.³⁶²⁷

YAKIMA - Ruth Marie Beede, 77, of Terrace Heights died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006. She was born Dec. 7, 1928 to Martha (Robinson) and Arthur Freeman Taylor in Akron, Ohio.

Mom and her family came to Yakima from Bluefield, West Virginia in 1944 by train. They moved to Terrace Heights and she graduated from Moxee High School. On Nov. 3, 1948 she married Edger Bruce Beede in Yakima. They moved to Union Gap in 1956 where they raised their family. During that time she worked at Del Monte Cannery until her retirement.

Ruth was also active in the Eagle's Woman's Drill Team. She and Ed shared their Saturdays at Yakima Speedway where she was a scorer. In 1976 they moved back to Terrace Heights where they finished out their years. Ruth lived her life with zest and great dignity. Her family was her life and she will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her son, Bruce Beede (Anita Boyd) of Yakima; two daughters, Chris Watten and Pamela Lee both of Union Gap; two brothers, Tommy (Martha) Taylor of Yakima and Harold Taylor of Port Townsend, Wash.; one sister, Annette (John) Anderson of Yakima; five grandchildren, Jason Watten, Jesse Beede, Brent Beede, Anthony Lee and Patrick Lee; and two great-grandchildren, Bryce Beede and Ethan Beede. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed Beede; three brothers, Robert Freeman Taylor, Bill King Taylor and Arthur Freeman Taylor, Jr.; and a sister, Rosalie Barnhart.

Ruth's family would like to thank the Memorial Hospice and Home Health staff for their loving care.

Viewing will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home. Family and friends can meet at Langevin-Mussetter at Noon Saturday to follow the procession to the cemetery. The graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006 at West Hills Memorial Park. Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
