Born May 15, 1918, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Samuel and Aurilla Speace Behanna. Mr. Behanna attended the Wesley Chapel of the United Methodist Church. He was a former employee of Donora Southern Railroad Company and a former welder with Scottdale Ozone Company. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the U.S. Army, and was a member of the Scottdale American Legion Post. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Olive Fleming. Survivors include his wife, Alice G. Huber Behanna, with whom he celebrated a 44th wedding anniversary in March 1988; three daughters, Debra Havens of Connellsville R.D. and Mrs. George (Norma Jean) Carnes and Mrs. Francis (Arlene) Gallo, both of Scottdale R.D. 1; 10 grandchildren including Ross A. Havens, of Scottdale R.D. 1, whom he raised; five great-granddaughters; two brothers, Louis Behanna of Scottdale R.D. 1 and Addison Behanna of Donora, and a sister, Mrs. Vivian Behanna of Donora.
