Charles Edward Lucchini, 81, of 148 Kelso Drive, Erie, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Erie. He was born Sept. 18, 1920, in Sutersville, a son of the late Alphonse and Mary DeNoble Lucchini. He served in the United States Navy during World War II, and was a carpenter most of his life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn M. Lucchini, in 1989; and four brothers, Richard, Johnny, Ben and Dominic Lucchini. He is survived by his companion, Anna Young; two sons, Allan Lucchini and his wife, Kim, of Washington, Pa., and Charles Lucchini of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters and a brother, Violet Harenski, Mary Messner and Albert Lucchini, all of Sutersville; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
