FAIRMONT — Edith Josephine Haney, 84, of Fairmont, passed away Monday (March 21, 2011) in her home. She was born July 27, 1926, in Dakota, the daughter of the late Bruce and Lucy Williams Heck. Edith was employed at Owens-Illinois Glass Plant for 25 years. She was a member of the Calvary Temple Church, the Union Homemakers, and past president of the Fairmont Women’s Club. She is survived by her husband, Robert Gene Haney; a daughter, Deborah K. Marano of Fairmont; a sister, Alice Vilone of Morgantown; two grandchildren, Amy Sayre and Greg Marano; five great-grandchildren, Jillian Bartolet, Jordon Tello, Anthony, Ava and Allie Marano. In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by one brother, John Heck; and one sister, Mary Neal. Edith’s family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice Care for all their help and kindness. The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave., Fairmont, from 10 a.m. to noon Friday. The funeral service will be held at noon Friday in the funeral home with Evangelist Tim Shuttlesworth officiating. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery in Grafton.
