He was born Aug. 14, 1917, in Marion, to the late Lloyd B. and Sarah (Loudenslager) Williams. On May 10, 1942, in Akron, he married Margaret Jean Burns Williams; she died March 22, 1993, in Marion. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, served 31 years on boards of education including the state school board, was affiliated with several farm organizations, and he was a self-employed farmer and retired in 1986 from The Whirlpool Corp., where he worked for 24 years. He was also a lifelong resident of Morral. He is survived by two sons, Paul (Millie) Williams of Morral, and David (Charlotte) Williams of Garrett, Ind.; one daughter, Joan (David) Fleming of Beaver Creek; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Maxine Cochrun of Morral. He was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Williams. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at First Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be held in Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Friday at Boyd Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to First Church of the Nazarene Scholarship Fund.
