BYESVILLE -- Homer H. Williams, 92, of Napoleon, died Friday (Oct. 19, 2012) in Columbus.

He was born in Buffalo Township, Noble County, on March 30, 1920, son of the late Glen C. and Zelma Groves Williams.

His family and his work were the two most important aspects of his life.

Mr. Williams was a 1937 graduate of Pleasant City High School. He served as a pilot instructor in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and worked for more than 54 years as a manufacturing/industrial engineer, starting with the Cleveland Graphite Bronze facility in Caldwell (1952-1966) and more recently with Tenneco in Napoleon (1966-2006).

He will be missed by his wife, Wilma L. Malernee Williams, whom he married on June 15, 1946; their children, Katherine Williams Wright (Tim Harter) of Columbus, and Bill (Connie) Williams, of Napoleon; their three grandchildren, Casey (Kate) Wright, Kelly Wright (Joe Rickey) and Danielle Williams; their great-grandson, Max Wright; 12 nieces and nephews and their families; and many friends, extended family, and co-workers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Oather Max Williams; an infant daughter, Kim Annette Williams; and his sister, MaryAnna Williams (Hobart F.) Bond.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where services will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Hobart Bond officiating.

Internment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Byesville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to HomeReach Hospice, Columbus, The Henry County Hospital, Napoleon, or the American Red Cross.
