He worked with his hands as a concrete pourer, general contractor and handy man. He loved the outdoors, and he enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking and drinking with his buddies. While he enjoyed spending time with the Rusty Zipper Club at J-Ville Tavern, he was also a member of 4-H with his daughter. He is survived by one daughter, Christy Marie Butterfield Carrero; two step-daughters, Carey Fahring and Teresa Young; two sisters, Ruth and Betty; two brothers, Gene Butterfield and Jerry Butterfield; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marsha; his son, Michael; his sister, Mary; and his parents.
