BRISTOL - Reynold O. Ross, 85, of Forestville passed away Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007, at Sheriden Woods. Reynold was born Aug. 17, 1921, in Dallas Plantation, Maine, a son of the late Hayden and Vesta (Nile) Ross.

Mr. Ross served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, and was a member of The American Legion Post 165 Billy Peterson Wolcott for 33 years. He was an avid Red Sox and UConn women's basketball team fan and enjoyed fly fishing, having tied his own flies. Reynold is survived by his best friend and devoted wife, Helen (Whitlock) Ross of Forestville; his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Daniel Poryanda of Arizona; his grandsons, Daniel of Meriden and Brandon of Arizona; and his two great-grandchildren, Gage and Hayden of Arizona. O'Brien Funeral Home, Forestville, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
