She is survived by her son, Craig Wallett and his wife, Robin and granddaughter, Megan, all of Middlefield; her daughter, Cynthia Tyrseck of Durham and grandson, Stephen Tyrseck of Middletown; a brother, Lawrence Gilman and his wife, Mary Ann of Haddam; and a sister, Ernestine Milardo of Durham. She was predeceased by a brother, Norman Gilman; and a son-in-law, Robert Tyrseck. Private funeral services will be held Friday and burial will be in the State Veterans Cemetery. He was born in Middletown, the son of the late Phalen and Catherine (Neville) Wallett. A veteran of World War II, he served with the US Army in the 29th Infantry Division as a Sergeant. Prior to his retirement, he was employed with the State of CT in the Dept. of Transportation. He was very active with the CT State Employees Assoc. in the Legislative Action Committee and he continued to serve many years after his retirement with the retiree's chapter. Bill was a past Warden and active member of the Church of the Holy Trinity. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Craig Wallett and his wife Robin and granddaughter, Megan all of Middlefield; his daughter, Cynthia Tyrseck and grandson, Stephen Tyrseck both of Durham; and his two sisters, Laverne Belerose of Colchester, and Kathleen Bankowski of Somers. He was predeceased by five brothers, Francis, Phillip, Richard, John and Harold Wallett; and two sisters, Marguerite Zawisza and Adele Andrulis; and a son-in-law, Robert J. Tyrseck. Private funeral services will be held at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Middletown. Burial with military honors will be in the State Veterans Cemetery.
