WATERVILLE -- Hilda O. Talbot, 92, formerly of Arundel, died Feb. 19, 2007, at Lakewood Manor in Waterville. She was born in Rangeley on March 31, 1914, the daughter of S. John Ross and Onie Gile Ross and was a 1932 graduate of Rangeley High School. Hilda and her husband, Richard W. Talbot, lived for many years at their farm on the Old Limerick Road in Arundel and later at the Talbot home on the Old Post Road. Hilda was an excellent cook and loved entertaining family and friends in their home. She loved the Lord Jesus and was a dedicated worker and longtime member of Kennebunkport Baptist Church. Hilda had a smile and unconditional love for everyone and truly lived to serve others. She particularly loved children and from 1998-2003 worked as a Foster Grandparent at the Riverton School in Portland. She considered her grandchildren and great-grandchildren her greatest blessings. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Nellie Koch, of Rangeley. She is survived by her daughter, Rosemary Martin Rovillard, of Waterville; a granddaughter, Faith McKeil her husband Carl, and their children, Chase, Carly and Marissa, of China, Maine; a grandson, Matthew Rovillard, and his children, Hannah and Carson of Scarborough; and grandson, Jonathan Rovillard, his fianc?, Bonnie Butterfield and their daughter, Abigail, of South Portland; a sister, Bertha Lancaster, of Salem N.H.; and several nieces and nephews. Service notice: Visiting hours will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk. The funeral services will be held immediately following this at noon. A private interment at Hope Cemetery will take place in the spring.
