DUXBURY, Mass. - Marie Louise (Hattaway) Batchelder, 84, of Duxbury, formerly of Hollywood, Fla., and Dover, N.H. died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, at the Evanswood Nursing Home, Bethesda, Mass.

Daughter of Georgiana Plante and Thomas Hattaway, she was born in Dover, N.H. and was educated in the Dover school system. She lived in Hollywood for 20 years before moving to Duxbury three years ago.

She enjoyed designing interiors, landscaping and floral arrangements.

She was the beloved wife of the late W.H. Batchelder. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Lou O'Connell and E. Bonnie Opie, both of Duxbury; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces.

A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m., in St. Mark's Church 261 Main St., Kingston, Mass.
