Even at that, I have lived a rather full life, I think, looking back ninety-four years. All along the way, I have had many friends, belonged to different clubs, including a watercolor society which I enjoyed so much. I worked in offices in Youngstown, Ohio. I came to Springfield, MO to live with my sister and her husband, Jesse Kamerer forty years ago (ca. 1947). Jess died twenty-three years ago (1964).

After that, Margaret and I took an interesting trip every year. We went on bus tours out of Kansas City, to different parts of the United States, Mexico, including Mexico City, and into Canada. The last few years we have stayed home more. I don't do any outside work. I love to sew and make many of my clothes."
