Gilman Nathaniel FOLSOM737,1267,1268,1269 was born on 15 August 1830 in East Corinth, Penobscot, Maine.737 He died on 3 June 1917 at the age of 86 in Carson City, Ormsby, Nevada.737 He was buried in Carson City, Ormsby, Nevada.737 Gilman was a Lumberman.737 Gilman and Priscilla Folsom, according to his memoirs came to the Pacific coast in 1856, arriving in Calaveras County, California 1857, where he enters the employee of a lumberman William Dennis, as a blacksmith. He shoed horses, built and repaired wagons in kept the sawmill and repair. After spending five months and sent to Cisco or he received treatment at "Dr. Bourn's Electrical-Chemical Water Cure" establishment, he moved to Nevada where in the spring of 1860 he started a dairy and hotel, 25 miles west Jenny Lind. The following year, he and James Norcross operated a ranch in a sawmill.

Gilman Folsom had an active political life in Nevada serving 1864, on the Constitutional Convention for the state of Nevada; assemblyman from Washoe Co., 1867, assemblyman from Ormsby Co., 1885; senator from Douglas Co., 1891, 1893. He also served as Justice of Peace in Carson City, 1905 and 1915.

He ended up in Nevada.
