As is the case with her brother and sisters, there is some doubt as to the actual birth dates and this is probably due to the fact that the mother, Rachel Frame Warnock, died soon after the birth of her youngest child. The family records give 1838 as the birth year but Elizabeth Jane is listed in the 1850 census as being 10 years of age and in the 1840 census (with her Mother still living) she is listed as being under five years of age. The two youngest children, girls, were not listed as they were born after 1840. Also, Georgie Folsom, her daughter and the mother of Rachel Rolfe Feighny, the compiler of this material, stated that Elizabeth Jane Warnock was 13 years old when the family journeyed by covered wagon from Indiana to Oregon in 1853. She died December 17, 1927, at Beaumont, California, and is buried at Pendleton, Oregon. She married Moses Emerson Folsom at Oregon City, May 6, 1855, in a double ceremony with her sister Margaret and John Edward Folsom, brother of Moses. She wore a white dress and a rose in her hair. Moses was born ca. 1827 in East Corinth, Maine, and died December 29, 1899, at Pendleton, Oregon. They had seven girls and four boys." "Not a great deal is known about the journey over the Old Barlow Road, or Oregon Trail, but Elizabeth Jane Warnock was such a beautiful girl that they were afraid the Indians might kidnap her. In fact, one young Indian brave followed the caravan for days."
