Grace Eva MARSTON and James Fellows WARREN were married on 2 July 1892 in Pittsfield, Merrimack, New Hampshire.2471 They were married by Rev. J. E. Dame.

Married by Rev. J.E. Dame James Fellows WARREN683,1150, son of George Meader WARREN and Sarah Esther K. FELLOWS, was born on 9 September 1866 in Chichester, Merrimack, New Hampshire.2471 He died on 17 August 1942 at the age of 75 in Chichester, Merrimack, New Hampshire.2471 He was buried at Pine Ground Cemetery in Chichester, Merrimack, New Hampshire.2471

Grandpa (James Albert Warren) says:
James Fellows Warren was born and also died in same room of the old family house. He was a shoemaker in his early life. Later, a blacksmith, butcher, carpenter, stone mason and somewhat of a local veterinarian, but he always carried on the small farm gradually adding more land. He served as town representative in the state legislature. He loaned to his brother, George E. (Edwin) $1700, secured only by personal note to help build a house in Epsom. Edwin died very suddenly. His widow quickly deeded the property to her son, G. Edwin Jr., who fully knowing the circumstances; willingly accepted the deed. Edwin went to Antrim. No more contact.
Dad (James Fellows Warren) also loaned $2000 to a close friend (Fred Watson) after the Watson home was destroyed by fire. This was a note secured by mortgage deed on a wood lot but Fred never paid any interest due. After Fred died his widow refused to pay or give up the property. Her lawyer said the claim was outlawed because non-payment of interest due for more than 20 years failed to keep the note renewed. I (James Albert Warren) doubted this but Dad (James Fellows Warren) agreed to sign off the mortgage.
Another brother, Charles, made good money for those days as shoe shop boss but he some how fell to drink and died from the use of it, destitute. Dad (James Fellows Warren) allowed him to be buried in the family lot at Chichester Pine Ground, paid funeral and sickness expenses and took the widow into our home for several years. She was buried beside Charles. When Dad (J.F. Warren) erected a fairly large monument on the lot he offered to the two sons of Charles, as follows:that they should not be asked to pay anything toward the monument, but must pay the cost of cutting the names of their father and mother on the stone if the names were to be on it at all. The sons failed, the graves are not marked, the names are not cut and never shall be on that monument.
Another brother, John H., always seemed to care a great deal for me (James Albert Warren), maybe our relationship was even closer than I was aware of. He once told me that he wanted me to have everything but died without a will. After settlement all the balance of his property came into our homestead.
My father, James F. & wife (Grace E. Marston) were divorced when I (J.A. Warren) was very young. She returned to live with her parents, next door. As a boy, I was back and forth between the 2 houses. My mother (Grace)'s aunt, Sarah (Marston) Hurd (or Sadie), became a house-keeper for my father, until her death, his woman or you name it. She was widow of Albert Hurd of Alton. They had 3 children, the youngest one, Florence, lived here with us for a while.
The old house was in quite bad condition if compared to present standards but maybe good or better than average then. All open, in the rough attic, only two rooms could be kept above freezing during real cold weather but we managed to survive somehow. There was Dad (J.F. Warren), and myself (J.A. Warren), Grandfather W. (George M. Warren), Sarah and Florence (Hurd), aunt Mary (widow of Charles) and cats. There were no automobiles and no plowed roads, no school bus. Bathroom? foot-tub beside stove, toilet? YES, out in the shed.
