BANGOR - Louise Pauline Philbrick, 97, wife of the late Fenton A. Philbrick Sr., died March 5, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Nov. 21, 1909, in Bangor, the daughter of Joseph and Rosa (Campbell) Doughty. Louise grew up in Bangor and was devoted to her family. She and Fenton also enjoyed many years at their camp on Pushaw Lake. "The Dutchess," as she was affectionately known, liked nothing more than a day out with her daughters. She is survived by daughters, Florence "Babe" Hopkins of Bangor, Bette Grant and her husband, Judson, of Bangor, Joyce Charloux and her husband, Ray Sr., of Florida, and Norma Spencer and her husband, Wyatt, of Bangor; a son, Wayne Philbrick and his wife, Toni, of Hampden; a brother, Raymond Doughty of Howland; a sister, Connie Rushetti of North Carolina; 19 grandchildren, Gregory Philbrick, Jean DiSalvatore, Mark Philbrick, Matthew Philbrick, Edward Hopkins, Pamela Vogel Sr., Karen Hopkins, Cheryl Noyes, Gale Longo, Ray Charloux Jr., Larry Charloux, Michelle Reynolds, Eric Charloux, Craig Charloux, Wyann Millington, Renee Smith, Darcel Bryant, Robin Cust, and Maureen Eaton; 30 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
