We will make the necessary changes if new information is found to cause us to believe that these are two different men.

His household included wife Abigail, 31, and children George, 11, Holsey B., 7, Caroline A., 5, and Sarah M. 1. Name on census: Moses Philbrick. He appeared in the census on 1 June 1860 in Charlestown, Suffolk, Massachusetts.493 Age 46, laborer, born Vermont. He was an inmate in the State Prison for the crime of Larceny. Name on census: Moses Philbrick.
NOTE: It is possible that this is a different Moses Philbrick but it is also possible that he was released from prison before his wife was enumerated on 29 Jun 1850 and he was back at home. It is also possible that his wife lied to the census taker on 29 June and that he wasn't *really* the head of household at that time. Moses appeared in the census on 29 June 1860 in South Hadley, Hampshire, Massachusetts.493 Age 45, mechanic, born Massachusetts. His household included wife Abigail, 41, and children George, 22, "Halsie", 17, and Sarah, 11. Name on census: Moses Philbrick. He died in 1880 at the age of 66 in South Hadley, Hampshire, Massachusetts.15 Moses C. S. PHILBRICK and Abigail S. BRAINERD were married on 3 December 1837.15 Abigail S. BRAINERD, daughter of Halsey BRAINERD and Lucy JUDD, was born on 18 November 1818 in South Hadley, Hampshire, Massachusetts.15 She appeared in the census on 12 September 1850 in Whately, Franklin, Massachusetts.493 Age 31, born Massachuttes, living with husband Moses and their 4 children. Name Abigail Philbrick. She appeared in the census on 29 June 1860 in South Hadley, Hampshire, Massachusetts.493 Age 41, born Massachusetts, living with husband Moses and children George, Halsie, and Sarah. Name on census: Abigail Philbrick. Abigail died on 9 April 1869 at the age of 50.15 Moses C. S. PHILBRICK-46778 and Abigail S.
