WATERVILLE -- Carolyn Ellen (Sturtavant) Sack Pease died at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Thayer Unit, Feb.17, 2009, with family at her side after a long illness.

She was born in Waterville on June 14, 1929. She was the daughter of Leslie A. Sturtavant and Edith (Philbrick) Sturtavant.

She is survived by five sons and one daughter, Peter Sack Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Waterville, Terry Ann Murphy of Winslow, David J. Sack of Old Town, Roger D. Sack of Norridgewock, Ronald L. Sack and his wife, Diane, of Brodhead, Ky., Leslie A. Sack of Fairfield; six grandsons, four great-grandaughters and four great-grandsons. She will also be missed by two special nieces, Shirley Williams of Oakland and Barbara Cummings of Moscow.

Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. Friends and relatives may call at 1 p.m.

Burial at Pine Grove Cemetery will be announced at a later date.
