Grace W. Philbrook, 98 YARMOUTH & GREENVILLE - Grace W. Philbrook, 98, of North Road and First Roach Pond, died on Sept. 23, 2003, at her residence. She was born in Waltham, Mass., a daughter of Monroe Elmer and Sarah Totten Wilbur. Mrs. Philbrook graduated from the Deaconess School of Nursing in Boston. She worked as a public health nurse in East Boston and later for the Maine Seacoast Mission of Bar Harbor in a visiting nurse capacity before marrying in 1940. She then moved to Matinicus Island where she was involved with the Ladies Aid Society and belonged to the Matinicus Congregational Church. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Lewis. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Vernon L. Philbrook of Yarmouth; two daughters, Verna P. Chamberlain of Otisfield, Wilma P. Bridges of Yarmouth. She is also survived by three grandchildren; and several great - grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Lindquist Funeral Home, 1 Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth. The Rev.
