2114. Hall Jackson JENNESS was born on 4 September 1788 in Rye, Rockingham, New Hampshire.⁸⁷ He died on 8 April 1870 at the age of 81.⁸⁷

He was a soldier in 1812; a collector of taxes 1819-22 and 1825-26; selectman, 1820 and 1835; constable, 1825; member of the Congregational parish, 1824, and Congregational Society, 1828; warden, 1829; justice of the peace, 1853; with his wife joined the Newfields Sunday School Union, 1829; and lived in the old Kelly House.

Hall Jackson JENNESS and Mercy H. TARLETON were married on 24 February 1824 in Newmarket, Rockingham, New Hampshire.⁹²⁵ They were married by Rev. John Brodhead. Mercy H. TARLETON was born on 29 June 1799.⁸⁷ She died on 15 March 1871 at the age of 71.⁸⁷
