2. John PHILBRICK7 was baptized on 10 October 1616 in Bures St. Mary, Suffolk, England.6 He was born about October 1616 in Bures St. Mary, Suffolk, England. He died on 20 October 1657 at the age of 41 in Hampton, Rockingham, New Hampshire.8

From the Hampton Vital Records, p. 112:

"The: 20th of the 8 mo 1657

The sad Hand of God upon Eight p[er]sons goeing in a small vessell by Sea from Hampton to boston Who wear all swallowed up i the ocian sone after they ware out of the Harbour the p[er]sons wear by name as Followeth

In 1636 he was a proprietor in Watertown, but in the summer of 1639 he settled in Hampton and received a land grant there. A house lot of five acres was granted to him in 1640.

John PHILBRICK and Anne KNOPP were married about 1649 in Hampton, Rockingham, New Hampshire.9 Anne KNOPP, daughter of William KNOPP and Judith TUE, was born about December 1618 in Wormingford, Essex, England. She was baptized on 24 December 1618 in Wormingford, Essex, England.10 She died on 20 October 1657 at the age of 38 in Hampton, Rockingham, New Hampshire.10 She perished at sea with her husband and daughter Sarah.

Sarah PHILBROOK was born about 1652 in Hampton, Rockingham, New Hampshire. She died on 20 October 1657 at the age of 5 in Hampton, Rockingham, New Hampshire. She drowned at sea with her parents.
